37th Annual Portage Lakes Antique and Classic Boat Show

The Portage Lakes Antique and Classic boat show is one of the oldest shows in the country. This 37th annual event is co-sponsored by the North Coast Ohio chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS) and the Portage Lakes Historical Society.
The boat show will be held at two adjoining locations; “The Olde Harbor Inn” and “Hook, Line & Drinkers” restaurants. With both these fine restaurants donating dock space, we will be able to accommodate up to 55 boats, making this the largest boat show on the Portage Lakes.
This year’s show will feature an unprecedented collection of Chris-Craft Custom Runabouts, both pre and post War models. The post War models were the first blond decks produced. The Custom runabouts are considered one of Chris-Crafts most collectable series.
Hours for this year’s show will be from 9AM to 3PM on Saturday June 30th. The Olde Harbor Inn will be serving buffet breakfast in the morning starting at 9 A.M. Both restaurants will have their regular menu starting at 11AM.
This year the Awards Dinner will be held at the historic Turkeyfoot Island Club on Turkeyfoot Lake. This renowned club with its dock space for up to 16 boats will provide a memorable evening for the boat show awards. Cocktails will be served (BYOB) on the patio at 5:30PM and dinner at 6:30PM. At 7:30PM, we will have the expanded awards presentations followed by boat rides on Turkeyfoot Lake.

The 2011 Portage Lakes Antique & Classic Boat show video is now available to our members on DVD! The 3-minute preview displayed here shows only the beginning of the show to give you an idea of what the footage of each boat looks like. Over 40 of the vessels entered in this year’s show appear in the video (some snuck out before we got to them), so it’s not just the category winners. The name of the owner(s) and boat description is supered for each vessel. Each vessel receives about 20 - 40 seconds of coverage. Click here for details about how you can get your copy!
