MINUTES OF NORTH COAST OHIO MEETING Minutes of a special meeting of the Officers and Directors of the North Coast Ohio Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society, held May 30, 2009 at the Turkeyfoot Island Club, during the 14th Annual NCO Rendezvous. Present were Walt Stashkiw President, Jeremy Goldstein VP, John Vorhies Treasurer, Jack Lynett Secretary and Directors Bill Hunter, Cliff Wolfe, Bud Long, Les Demaline, Marilyn Demaline, Ray Mc Farland, Don Emery, Gil Maringer, Joe Nemes, Sylvia Chappell, Tim Rash, and Past President Greg Glick, along with many family members and spouses. Walt opened the brief meeting by introducing Gail Turner, 1st Vice President of ACBS International and her husband Bill. Gail praised chapters like NCO for their programs like the Rendezvous, and encouraged all to attend the annual ACBS meeting in Muskoka, Ontario Canada in September. Walt presented Gail and Bill with an NCO desk set, NCO coffee mugs and a gift certificate to Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Atlanta, their home town. Walt reviewed the plans for the coming Portage Lakes show and asked for reports from each of the committee chairs on the progress being made. It appears that everything is on track for the show on June 27th. The photo-fly-by was discussed and plans were outlined to permit the boats to pass the pontoon boat and be photographed on-plane. Don Emery and Bud Long would be on the photo boat with Cliff Wolfe, and each participant was issued a large number to display in order that they could be identified. The Turners were able to ride during the fly-by with Rose and Ray McFarland and afterwards, they enjoyed a quiet ride thru the iron channel and around East Reservoir with Eric West in his beautiful Hacker triple “Gadabout”. The meeting adjourned on Motion.
