MINUTES OF NORTH COAST OHIO MEETING
Saturday, December 3, 2005
The 2005 Annual Meeting of the NCO Chapter of The Antique
and Classic Boat Society was held on Saturday, December 3,
2005 at the Edgewater Yacht Club. NCO members welcomed guests
Ted Grulikowski, ACBS Director and member of the Michigan
Chapter and his wife Barbara who joined us for the evening's
festivities.
Following a great meal, President Jack Lynett opened the
brief business meeting by thanking Don and Mary Emery for
making the arrangments at the Yacht Club for this annual event.
The minutes of the November meeting were approved and Membership
Chairman, John Vorhies reminded members to mail their ACBS
renewal prior to January 15, 2006 if you want to be listed
in the Membership Directory.
There being no further nominations from the floor for elected
positions, a unanimous ballot was cast for the slate of nominees.
Jack Lynett turned over his gavel to incoming President, Greg
Glick. Joining Greg as Vice-President is Walt Stashkiw, Secretary
Jack Lynett, and Treasurer, John Vorhies. Gil Maringer will
remain on the Board of Directors as Past-President. Elected
to 3-year terms as Directors are Cliff Wolfe, Don Emery and
Jeremy Goldstein.
The President's Cup was presented to Bill Hunter and the
John Smith Award was given to John Herwig. There was some
competition for the Golden Hose Clamp Award with Walt Stashkiw
named as runner-up. However, Greg Glick became the recipient
of this prestigious award for having his boat slip off his
trailer while enroute home from a boat show at Portage Lakes.
Gil Maringer made quite a humorous presentation while giving
Greg a hard hat, safety vest and an emergency kit. Marilyn
Demaline received an Award of Appreciation for her five years
as Secretary.
Following the awards the results of a successful Silent Auction
were announced. A total of $476.00 was collected.
The next meeting will be held at Dimitri's Restaurant on
January 9, 2006 at 6:00 PM.
Meeting adjourned at 9:43 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Marilyn Demaline, Secretary, Retired
