MINUTES OF NORTH COAST OHIO ANNUAL
MEETING
After a lovely meal was served and eaten, a brief business meeting was held to elect the Officers and Directors for the 2005 year. Don Emery made a motion to cast a unanimous ballot for the nominations as presented, seconded by Bill Hunter. The Officers and Directors elected are:
John Vorhies announced that the treasury balance was at $10,300.00. Our membership roster now totals 132. Bill Hunter had the club calendars made for 2005. They were sold at $15.00 each. The Boat Show at the IX Center was discussed. It was moved and seconded by John Vorhies and Bill Hunter that we go ahead and have a set of club banners made to use at the IX Show as well as for upcoming NCO events at a cost of $1200.00. Throughout the evening a silent auction was conducted. Members placed bids on several donated items that were awarded to the highest bidder when the auction ended. The meeting ended with the presentation of the annual awards. The President's Cup was awarded to Dan White for his work on The Beacon and the design and implementation of the NCO Web Site. The John Smith Award was given to Pete Crusse as recognition for community service as well as his participation in the NCO and ACBS Boating events. The final award - the Golden Hose Clamp - was given to Pixie Bond for her "fall backwards" into Lake Chautauqua. Gil Maringer last year's winner, made a special presentation by giving Pixie the gear necessary to judge the boat bottoms while she was in the water, including a mask, scuba gear and a vest! The meeting concluded with a toast by Greg Glick to NCO members for making 2004 a great year. Next Meeting will be on January 3, 2005 at 6:30 PM at Dimitri's Restaurant.
